Dosage for flavored sugar: how many spoonfuls? (simple guide)
How many spoonfuls of flavored sugar do you need? The simple guide
The right amount makes all the difference: enough to smell the fragrance, but never overpowering. Here are our easy guidelines (using a spoon) for perfect results every time.
The simplest reference point
For most preparations: 1 teaspoon for a portion (cup / yogurt), and 2 to 3 tablespoons for a large quantity (1 liter of milk, large dessert cream).
Dosage chart (extremely practical)
| Preparation | Gentle dose | A generous portion | Trick |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 cup (tea / coffee / hot chocolate) | 1/2 to 1 teaspoon | 1 to 2 teaspoons | Mix well at the bottom |
| 1 yogurt (125 g) / fromage blanc | 1 tsp | 1.5 to 2 teaspoons | Leave for 2 minutes, the fragrance will develop |
| 500 ml of milk (dessert cream / semolina) | 1 to 1.5 tablespoons | 2 tbsp | Add at the end of cooking if possible |
| 1 liter of milk (rice pudding / flan) | 2 tbsp | 3 tablespoons | Taste and adjust at the end |
| Pancake batter (approx. 12 pancakes) | 1 tbsp | 2 tbsp | Flavoring + sugar, no need to add more |
| Chantilly cream (20 cl of cream) | 1 tbsp | 1.5 tablespoons | Add when the cream starts to thicken. |
Why is it that sometimes “we don’t feel enough”?
- Overheated : some aromas diminish during cooking.
- Not the right time : add it towards the end of preparation when possible.
- Very strong base (cocoa, strong coffee): increase by half a spoonful.
Our tip for a “wow” result
Start with a small amount , mix, taste, then add more little by little. The best amount is whatever you like… without overpowering the dessert.
